Feeling peckish? You'll need to be, if you plan to satisfy the curiosity of Airtasker CEO Tim Fung, who is offering AU$500 (plus expenses) to the person who can help him find Sydney's best burger.

Posting the mission on the Airtasker site, Fung is looking for someone to visit 10 classy Sydney burger joints, sample their wares and report back. That's it. He is offering a generous 10 days to complete the task, too, and has suggested nine of the 10 stores that he wants sampled, leaving the 10th up to your discretion.

To snare the gig, you'll have to be ready to pimp yourself pretty hard, though. The conversation attached to this task now has over 100 messages, so you'll need an inventive approach to prove that you are the best person for the taste test. The task will be assigned on Thursday, 17 May, so if you've got the tastebuds, then you'd better check it out soon.

If you haven't come across it before, Airtasker is a site designed to match people with jobs with people who want money for completing those jobs. Most tasks on the site have people making deliveries, picking up groceries or completing simple handyman chores. But something tells us that if Fung's latest folly is a success, we can expect more tasks in this vein in the near future.
