Apple iPod Nano (2nd generation, 4GB)

By Jasmine France on 15 September 2006

The second-generation Apple iPod Nano is like the successful offspring of an iPod Mini and a first-generation iPod Nano. It's small, stylish, user-friendly, and competitively priced -- a great player all around and suitable for a variety of users.

particular colours are only avaliable in particular storage sizes, design is unattractive like the rest of the other ipods (no offense) and controls are fiddly so you often miss the options on the menu you are going for

    • Bad: I tunes really sucks , what about drag and drop , right click delete , these are basics computer functions, come on apple you want to compete with microsoft, based on this I would not have chosen an ipod

    • Good: This new ipod nano is smaller, brighter, lighter, easy to use, if you are planning to buy a mp3 player, by an ipod nano now.
    • Bad: The only bad thing is that you cannot play FM Radio & Videos.

This is one of the best ipod yet, the screen is smaller, brighter, lighter, easy to use, new ear plug & 24 hours battery life is just unbeleivable & for the price of $299au, anyone can afford it, go ahead & give an ipod nano a try.

I've got ipod nano 4gb green colour.

    Perfect Rating 10/10.

    • Good: Bright colour screen and new slim design.
    • Bad: A simple pocket-height drop to the ground could snap this device like a twig but overall it's good.

I like the sleek design and the colours. But what makes this so special to be sold for AU$299 for a 4GB Model?

    • Good: Portable, scratch resistant, playlists, sound quality.
    • Bad: must download songs from itunes and songs stay on computer, no radio, no recording capability.

I love the battery life. The sound quality is great! The screen and iPod "body" of the 2nd generation iPods don't scratch easily, like the old ones, so that is definatly a plus. I don't like the fact that you have to save all your music to the computer. (it slows my computer down quite a bit) I also don't like that there is no fm radio or recording capability like some other MP3 players.

    • Good: Alright I guess. Brighter screen and a bit thinner
    • Bad: Cant hold movies, way too expensive, limited colour choice depending which storage capacity you get.

exactly the same as an old ipod except for colour
