Apple's iPod, iTunes event 1 September

That Apple September music event? It's happening earlier than anyone expected this year.

Apple sent an invitation moments ago inviting us to the event next Wednesday, 1 September. It'll take place at the usual spot, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco, at the usual time, 10am PDT.

What exactly will Apple announce? Well, it's a tradition for the company to release new iPod hardware in September. This year, it's widely expected Apple will add the "Retina" display and front-facing camera of the iPhone 4 to the iPod Touch. There's also been speculation about changes coming to Apple TV, including a scaled-down device, a much lower price tag of US$99, and access to the App Store.

On Tuesday, Bloomberg reported that Apple would be introducing US 99-cent TV show rentals at this event, but said that event would take place on 7 September.

I'm getting an iPhone 4. But I have no idea what colour I should go with. Any ideas?
Should I stick around for a White iPhone or go with the Black iPhone??

By the looks of it from this and other articles it seems that the iPod Touch is going to be basically an iPhone.

How about they fix all the problems that exist with OS 4.02 before releasing new product - my ipod touch is so much slower and is also freezing after I installed the new OS ! Ipod Touch is great - current OS is rubbish !
