BETA Version[drive.lite] - To drive green; to reduce or eliminate the carbon dioxide pollution from driving Want to drive a non-polluting vehicle that emits nothing but flowers and sunshine? Us too. Until then, you can DriveLite. When you DriveLite, you drive green by reducing or eliminating the pollution from driving. Whether you drive a jumbo SUV or hybrid, it doesnt matter, we can all DriveLite. When you arrive at a fuel station, DriveLite provides you with options to offset the pollution from your fuel. It is not your car that pollutes, it is the fuel. Every gallon of gasoline/petrol or diesel releases 20lbs (1 liter is 2.4 kg) of CO2 pollution into the atmosphere. As we know, carbon pollution is a leading contributor to climate change. You can choose to offset a little or a lot. DriveLite sometimes, next time or every time, it is always up to you. So, how do we actually remove the pollution from your exhaust pipe? Well, we cant, but we wish we could! Heres how it works . . . There is a Global Carbon Pollution Bucket to which everyone contributes. Every time you drive and burn fuel, pollution is added to this bucket. When you DriveLite, we will remove carbon pollution from this global bucket by eliminating an equal amount of carbon pollution from another source. It is that simple.Features: Global Coverage, currently in English languageGrowing Coverage in US, UK, Australia, CanadaGet reminded to DriveLite at over 80,000 fuel stations in just the USOffsets available in both gallon and liter units ensuring global useShare when you DriveLite with Facebook and Twitter social pluginsDisclaimer: Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life, but hey your @DrivingLite!
