PaintAssist is a tool that adds functionality to general purpose image editor and paint programs using the windowsclipboard. Functionality includes frame grabs from AVI files, WMFvector graphic clipart to bitmap conversion, and enhanced text capability. AVI file images can be sized from 25% to 500% of theirnative size. All frames of any AVI file can be viewed/used. Text effects include outline, shadowed, extruded, exploding, rotated, and verticalin any font and effect (bold, italic.) Vector graphics images can be sized (original ratio intact) from 25% to 500% of native size. Area selection for the clipboard transfer includes ALL, rectangular area, and lasso (irregular or polygonal area.) The registered version adds transparent pasting capability; backgroundbitmaps can be transferred via the clipboard or read as a file in GIF, BMP,WMF, TGA, PCX, JPG or TIF format; the transpatent pastes can be eitherPaintAssist generated clips or any source. Also includes the ability to save any area selection to a file (JPG or BMP.)
