Craig was sucked into the endless vortex of tech at an early age, only to be spat back out babbling things like "phase-locked-loop crystal oscillators!". Mostly this receives a pat on the head from the listener, followed closely by a question about what laptop they should buy.

Frustrated by poor signal strength on your network? While there are numerous variables in every home that may be impacting your wireless reception, here are four options you can try to improve it.

Hai Lewis even i too had similar problems with the speed... the speed factor really depends on the quality of your modem and router.. Netgear is my choice. As i could see your are using that. Things you could try. 1. See that the modem router is not too far from the telephone socket (keep it close). 2. Use a filter (not splitter) to reduce the signal transmission loss or interference. 3. You could also try by upgrading your wireless modem router to rangemax dualband wireless-N modem router. If all these measures don't bring any difference, try another service provider (Go for TPG). Let me know how it is to dmadiath@ahoo.com
