Taiwan-based manufacturer Asus teams up with high-performance sports car maker Lamborghini to design the VX1, a high-end notebook with a price tag to match.

Available in black or yellow, the paint job on these sleek machines takes 48 hours to apply, according to Asus, and is the similar to the type of paint used on its automobile cousins. Under the hood of the VX1 is an Intel Core Duo Processor T2500, 512MB nVIDIA GeFroce 7400, 120GB hard disk, multi-format double layer DVD burner, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and built-in 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi. The VX1 will be available in Australia by mid-June with pricing starting at AU$4199 for a base model. -

A spolier-like raise is added to the top of the Asus-Lamborghini VX1 to give it more rev-head appeal. On closer inspection we noticed a metal grille connecting this to the main chassis with LEDs for power and wireless status.

The Shine Glare screen enhances the sexiness of the Asus-Lamborghini VX1. It's not a widescreen display, but a 15-inch SXGA LCD with a resolution of 1400 x 1050 pixels.
