A German art student and 3D motion designer has created a video installation that makes it appear as though giant spiders are on the loose.
Friedrich van Schoor filmed two normal-sized spiders running around a small model of the building in which the installation was to appear. Then, in a building on the Academy of Fine Arts campus in Saarbruecken, Germany, the film was projected onto the windows — resulting in a very realistic simulation of enormous, bigger-than-people spiders.
If you're immune to arachnid-related heebie-jeebies, watch the video for a short explanation of how the installation was made, and hit about 1.17 to see it in action.
