Avast Antivirus 4.7 Home edition works fairly well for a free antivirus protection.

    • Good: Not a resource hog. Easy to use. Catches and alerts you right away of any threats.
    • Bad: Interface could be better, but nothing too bad.

    I am a long time user of this program. Have installed it on every one of my machines, both Mac and Windows (Vista and XP). Highly recommend this software.

    • Good: Simple, easy to use.
    • Bad: Does not tell what is wrong with a file, does not give options to fix problem

    Good, but... When i ran a scan on my mac it found a problem in itself, and i cant even figure out what it means when it finds something.

    • Good: Simple workflow for novices.
      Scans links in IM messages.
    • Bad: Activation is buggy.

    Avast antivirus is great antivirus and its fast and efficient. This antivirus has software gestionale engine which helps to it work fast. This software skins are very stylish and good looking. I like it very much.

    • Good: Very good protection.
      Frequent, automatic updates.
      Small footprint. Doesn't seem to slow down / disrupt my work.
      It is Free!
      Cohabits amiably with ZoneAlarm firewall & Spysweeper antispyware.
    • Bad: Menu Controls are not very intuitive.
      I haven't yet figured out how to schedule a periodic scan.

    I have been using Avast antivirus for the last few years on both my home PCs. I feel secure that it is working very well to protect my PCs. Glad that it is FREE !!!

    l have used avast for three years now and l have never had a virus on my computer . but it always tells when one is trying to get into my computerit stops it completely . l am very happy with avast

    Great antivirus for all users - FREE download, FREE updates FREE registration - TOTALLY FREE - better than a lot of the ones you have to pay for. You won't be dissapointed if you download this.
