Axe Cop is the most badass thing on YouTube

The first animated episode of the webcomic Axe Cop has arrived on YouTube — and it is glorious.

Axe Cop. It's an epic tale about a super-tough cop who found a fireman's axe one day and became ... Axe Cop. If it sounds like something a five-year-old made up, it's because it is.

The webcomic is by a pair of brothers, Malachai and Ethan Nicolle. Malachai, who is five, tells the story; Ethan, who is 29, draws the comic. It's utterly insane and utterly excellent — so excellent, in fact, that it even has its own graphic novel by Dark Horse Comics.

Episode one of the animated series tells the story ofepisode one of the comic, so there's nothing new story-wise or art-wise; but the addition of narration by Bob Souer and Axe Cop's voice by Dave DeAndrea bring the comic to completely-badass life.
