The Mac is "able to beat many Windows PC's at their own game" ?
Only ones which cost much less. It gets suitably owned by Windows PC's which cost the same. -

because my l300 cost 740 with 3 year warranty and antivirus and its really qutie good considering my modest needs

Why not Dell inspiron 1525? cheaper and faster than toshiba laptop.
