Intel has launched its Santa Rosa chipset on Wednesday, and CNET.com.au was at the Australian National Maritime Museum for the event.
To demonstrate the portability and functionality of the new products, all of the participating companies had their notebooks spread out on "airport lounge-like" tables.
Santa Rosa is the latest version of Centrino, and is known as Centrino Pro for business and Centrino Duo for consumers. Its features include Turbo Memory for better speed and longer battery life, faster wireless connectivity via 802.11n (draft) and virtual management tools for the Pro version.
Check out the video for a look at the different models which will be available in the coming weeks.
