London Motor Show 2008 Some may want to pick nits about the definition of "fastest" but we do know that this Bentley is supremely quick and mind-numbingly luxurious.
The Speed version of the Bentley Continental Flying Spur has twin turbochargers attached to its W12 engine — for those curious, that's two V6 welded together in mechanical matrimony in a "W" shape. It pumps out 449 kilowatts of power — or 600 horsepower in old money — which propel it from 0 to 100km/h in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 322km/h. This is also the first car also we've seen with the Naim audio system, a super high quality stereo with 15 speakers and an output of 1,100 watts.
If you don't feel the need, the need for speed, there's a "normal" Continental Flying Spur with just 412kW, giving it a 0 to 100km/h time of 5.2 seconds and a measly top speed of 312km/h. Pfft, slow coach.
