For the elite gamer nothing beats a first-person shooter. Whether battling alien hordes or human armies, or puzzling your way through a brightly-coloured box of delights, there's something for everyone who's ever want to pick up a gun and fight (digitally, of course).     perhaps johnphoenix should recognise that farcry is also a 3rd person shooter, perhaps bigboy had elected to press the button to make it 3rd person, ie F1, try it out and then consider your apology

    Bigboy, I will educate you and I know. I have been playing both first person shooters and third person shooters for over 20 years. A first person shooter is strictly a shooter where you see through the characters eyes, as in Far Cry. A third person shooter is a shooter where you see from a viewpoint behind your character as in Hitman. So NO Gears of War doesn't not belong in this list. it would belong in a 3rd person shooter list. You may be a big boy and you mommy lets you play on her computer, but please don't post unless you really know what your talking about.

    no, they are both right. gow is from a third person perspective, which makes it a third person shooter. which is not a fps, therefore, it does not belong in this list.

    Your both wrong. The genre is FPS (first person shooter for both you noobs) which covers these games, it doesnt mean that the viewpoint from all these games is first person.
