The ladipod range have crappy sound quality compared to a lot of other brands and to me good sound comes first the other gimmicks last and they look cheap so it must be saturation and affordability to the masses that appeal. What ever rocks your world I guess.

The Creative Zen Stone ( which is pictured but not reviewed, has proved excellent for me. Lightweight enough to be hardly noticable, battery life is good. The supplied skin has a clip which does its job and has lasted 12 + months so far. This unit has a built in speaker which is the main reason I purchased it as when listening to many podcasts while walking or gardening, it's nice to not have earbuds - sound is not hifi but quite acceptable for podcast audio

"The Apple iPod Shuffle (3rd generation) is not bad as a budget player, but it has too many limitations for us to recommend it."

So why did you include it in an article entitled "Best tiny MP3 players". You being paid by apple or something ?

I bought a Samsung Pebble (it was only 35AUD at Officeworks) on basis of a good sound review in What Hifi (UK)- I use good Audiotechnica buds, and the sound is indeed very good. I bought it as a useful thing to take on plane flights and such - but really only if you don't mind a random mix perhaps or just have faves on it (rather than new stuff), as the lack of screen is very limiting as to knowing what you are listening to (if you do not know already!)

i dont care what this comment box is for i m writig what is on my mind right now. i had untl just a few minutes ago, a creative zen 4gb, it was nice for the most part. problems included touchy buttons that worked most of the time, sometimes they didnt. i could not interact with the memory card from within the zen itself. meaning i could not transfer music or what ever from the zen to the card or vice versa without doing it through the computer. and why i finallly took a hammer to it, quite literally, was because i couldnt delete everything at once to start over.

i went to the creativbe web site and there is no where to leave comments good job creative. no tech support. in other words they tell you what they want you to know. you just buy their product and thats that. yur on your own. screw you creative im getting rid of my soundblaster also. just because i could not submit feed back to them

The Clip is my Favorite. I got mine from www.shopsansa.com, the Sansa store, a couple months ago and it is stellar.

iRiver S10 people... Barely bigger than the Shuffle, but with a screen! Even your own review marks it higher than the apple gadgetry!
