The SD20 features a new CMOS sensor, albeit not the 3MOS set up found in the HS200 and TM200, and records on to SD/SDHC cards, although none are included. There is, however, a new "advanced" optical image stabilisation system, 5.1-channel recording and a touchscreen LCD.

The big daddy of the Panasonic's standard-def camcorder range, it boasts 10x optical zoom, 3CCD, optical image stabilisation and a 30GB hard-disk. There's the ability to record onto SD card too.

This year's high-def hybrid camcorder from Panasonic is of the much more useful SD card/hard-disk variety. There's 60GB of on-board storage and 1080p recording at 25fps.

Another half year has passed, so another new SD card high-def camcorder from Panasonic is on the way. Yes there's 1080p recording at 25fps, but the really big news is that it's being shipped with a 32GB SDHC card as standard.
