  • Aperture- and shutter-priority exposure modes

The bad:

  • Fair-to-middling video quality overall
  • Awkward navigation controls
  • Poor still photos

The bottomline:

A basic, inexpensive DVD camcorder, the Canon DC100 is a safe, if unremarkable, choice.
