The Canon 400D remains a very good first dSLR, with a balance of automatic, semi-automatic and manual controls to progress through as your creative photography skills improve.

    I bought this camera 5 months ago and all I can say is that I am simply stunned with not only the image quality but the way it has inspired me to go for gold with my photos. With this baby in my hand I feel like a different person. Some might say that it's too small or not packed with enough features but I think this is what makes it so good. this camera is compact and simple perfect for the first time dslr user and the advanced user who just wants a nice simple and relatively inexpensive travel camera

    • Good: cheap
      simple
      light
      small
      great image quality
      lots of lenses to chose from
      lots of cheap accessaries to chose from
    • Bad: hand grip a little too small
      images a little noisy above ISO800

    I give in 10 out of 10 because it's really easy to use...It inspired me to be a photographer

    I use this camera for my professional use.
    Its gives out smooth layouts.I prefer that this camera is best for beginners.

    • Good: Awesome digital snaps results.
      This camera has very strong Body.
      Flip out LCD is very handy.
    • Bad: Bad control panel.
