This AU$2330 retro-looking vacuum tube pre-amplifier from Dared, called the NewClassic MP-7P, tips the scales at a hefty 12kg and bucks the trend in audio system by sticking to old-school, non-transister components. According the the Dared representative we spoke to, valve amplifiers are for music lovers and audiophiles looking for rich, detailed sound, which use analog technology to reproduce exactly what musicians have recorded on a soundstage.
