i'm tring to use handbrake and when i play the video the sound goes on and off but the video was not like that originally. how do i fix that?

Um, Handbrake uses ffmpeg rather then Quicktime for decoding, so the Flip4Mac plugin shouldn't make any difference.
On that note, there has been a recent development snapshot released with many improvements and stability fixes. Check the Handbrake forums for details.
