The Z2300s have deep (though boomy)bass and bright treble, but a disturbingly noticeable lack of midrange. If you are after something approaching hi fidelity, these are not for you. If you are after boom-boom bass, these will suit you fine. Having been into hi fidelity for many decades, I was disappointed with the fidelity of the speakers given the enthusiasm of CNET's reviewer (and I suspect that the reviewer's expertise may lie in areas other than hi fidelity sound). Notwithstanding, for the price they do represent excellent value for money; one can hardly expect $1700 sound from $170 speakers. 6/10.
Pros: Ample power output, very strong though ill-defined (boomy) bass. Suitable for gaming and popular music.
Cons: Significant midrange drop-off (which exaggerates the stereo image as a by-product).
Just got it today and extremely happy with it. Perfect sound and nice deep bass, perfect for what i wanted. Gaming, listening to music and watching movies.
Pros: Perfect sound qulaity, great deep bass, price $160, cheap as
best set of speakers and sub i have ever used!! very clear even up loud. running them through a high definition sound card. bass is amazing and will rattle everything in your house
Pros: Great bass
always get compliments
clear up loud
look great
these set of speakers are by far one of the best ive ever bought... its got good sounds, good base and good treble(depends on the music you listen to) i was going to decide on buying the Bose Companion 5 to replace with the current logitech speakers that ive got... but after listening to them... i really couldnt tell the difference... and this is listening to the same music before i left the house... and put the same music on my usb and tried it on the Bose system... So i pretty much will stick to my logitech till it blows up on me!
Pros: very good sound! still can beat your home theatre system anyday! but u dont get the surround sound thats all. A nice big (and i mean BIG) subwoofer to go with the nice clarity on the speakers.
hey ppl,
i jus bought them 2 days ago. and i have to say this is one of the best speakers out there. before i hade panasonic 1200 watt home theatre, but logitech z-2300 is even better than the home theatre. i don't care wat ppl say but this is the best out there, i was luck i got them for $119 so wait till they come around that price ,, u'll love it trust me . BEST
well i purchased this speakers and to say they were the best when i bought them but after about a month my cord began to only play through one speaker so i have to sit thier twisting my cord every time till it plays through both speakers overall awsome still
Pros: great bass
no distortion
Cons: my cord plays through one speaker
long run bass tends to lose power

Absolutely amazing speakers, sounds crisp across freq range, sounds better than some mid level 5.1,
Pros: Sounds fantastic, THE 2.1 speakers to get
Cons: cables and cords can lead to intermittent sound
