update They may not have the luxury-brand association of some designer mobile phones, but these snapshooters are slim, sexy and manage to combine substance with style.
When digital cameras started showing some flair in the fashion stakes, they were simple, point-and-shoot models without a lot to offer besides a nice design. These days, you can't get by just on your looks, so we've rounded up a selection of svelte shooters whose beauty goes more than skin deep, extending to features and performance.
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T700
Sony's T700 is a winner in the looks department, but beneath the brushed metal exterior lies a clever way to share photos. With 4GB of internal memory and a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen, the T700 is a good, if slightly expensive camera, especially given that image quality isn't always up to scratch.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX38
A great compact camera with a wide-angle lens, the FX38 has a few quibbles that prevent it from being an excellent point-and-shoot.
Canon Digital IXUS 870 IS
Though the 870 IS isn't perfect, it still remains an excellent compact camera. With a wide angle lens and super-fast image processing times, the IXUS is an ideal combination of style and substance.
Nikon Coolpix S60
Nikon's first touchscreen camera features an innovative user interface, but sadly its pictures don't live up to our expectations from the brand.

Panasonic FX01 is a good fashion camera, but it is kind of old ... the FX07 is out for ages already.
