The Canon EOS 1D Mark III yielded 9.9 frames per second in our continuous shooting test. These two images cropped from successive frames show how useful this can be when trying to capture extremely fast action. Shot details: Canon EOS 1D Mark III; 1/1250 sec.; f/8; ISO 1,600; EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM zoomed to 70mm.
