The larger LCD on the 450D necessitated a change of layout for the controls on the back from that of the 400D. Overall, we think we like it better than the older design with Menu, Disp, Review, Jump, and Delete buttons down the left side.

It doesn't stand out for its feature set or design, but the Canon EOS 450D delivers on performance and photo quality.
With the new EOS 450D, Canon wisely moved from Compact Flash to SD memory cards. Maybe it'll help put the xD and Memory Stick formats out of their misery.

Sony's T700 is a winner in the looks department, but beneath the brushed metal exterior lies a clever way to share photos. With 4GB of internal memory and a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen, the T700 is a good, if slightly expensive camera, especially given that image quality isn't always up to scratch.
Sony's entry-level Cyber-shot DSC-W110 includes face detection, noise reduction and high ISO sensitivity up to ISO 3200.
