More Canon reviews , RRP: AU$1499.00
The Canon EOS 350D is an exceptionally small and lightweight camera designed for amateur dSLR owners, but it delivers the responsiveness and image quality you'd expect from a semipro model.

In this season of offerings, we've noticed two growing trends among manufacturers: touchscreen-enabled or ultra-high resolution point-and-shoots. But Olympus' latest darling in its Mju family, the Mju 1060 has neither. So does this new shooter have what it takes to pit itself against other more sophisticated compacts?
It is easy to like the FE-320 for its stylish looks and feature-rich specifications. But what we like to applaud Olympus for is in making things work.
It has been about two years since Panasonic's last LX-series camera, the DMC-LX2, was launched. One of the most interesting things about that model was its 16:9 aspect ratio sensor and a good range of manual controls not usually found in digital compact cameras. We spent a day with the upcoming successor to the LX2, the DMC-LX3. Here's what we found out.
The Canon EOS 1000D is a good entry-level dSLR, but only its photo quality stands out among the competition.
Looking to lure existing Nikonistas, dSLR virgins and the Canon convertee, Nikon has announced the D90, the first digital SLR to feature video recording.

Good things come in small packages.
This is a great camera for those who want A3 print quality on fabulous shots. I have weakend wrists from an injury and find i don't have to stop to rest my wrist with this light camera. From a proffesional view it has all the features that i need with ease of function added.

Nice pictures, but major build issues
Love the pictures from the 350D but after less than 2 weeks, only 2 lens changes (with camera off) and about 500 pics this camera has two major dust spots on the sensor. Surely Canon could come up with something similar to Olympus's filter for this price??
Before purchase I thought the build wasn't as bad as everyone said. It is. Whenever I open or close the CF cover it feels like it is going to break. A camera in this price range should not have such large gaps around the body!
Have a look at some of the cheaper DSLRs or wait for the 20D to drop further in price.

Just Fantastic!
Amazing camera, I cant stop taking pictures. Makes me feel like I am a pro!!
Worth the money that for sure.
By the way, AU$1899 is way too expensive, I paid AU$1500 just last week on 27/07/05

Buyer Beware
My 300D cost me $A1900 now only 6 months out of warranty, one day it failed to turn on.
Cannon wants $1065 for repairs.
Buyer Beware

Fantastic
Feature packed, light, fast, suberb quality, definately a good choice of camera, I chose it over the Nikon 70D which I think is a great camera but too bulky and heavy in comparison to the 350D. The 18-55 lens is a good starter, I would suggest a 1Gb plus card because you wont stop shooting!!

Love It
My Brother in-law got his 350D yesterday, the size differance from the 300D is great (ny other bro in-law has the 300) Speed and general quality of photos is excellant, the sepia and B&W option is a bonus.
