Compared to the slick angles and chic lines of recent IXUS', the bubbly, bulbous curves of the Canon Digital IXUS 970 IS have us nonplussed. We hate to judge a camera just on its looks, but the lack of features don't give us much choice. Still, if you've fallen in love with this cheery snapper, you haven't wasted your money.

Excellent Camera from Canon. You can never go wrong with Canon.I used to have a Canon IXUS 750IS a 7.1 mega pixel camera which was perfect. I was abit dissappointed with the quality of material, Canon put into this model. It feels cheap material in touch. But all said and done, it is worth having this camera.
Pros: 10.1 mega pixel,
5 x optical zoom,
different modes for aim and shoot users,
Jog Dial,
Dedicated Play button to view photos,
Stylish design with curves. I love curves....
Cons: squeaky battery door and frame, inaccessible power button.

From the outside, the V1273 exudes sophistication due to its metal/plastic construction and touchscreen. Sadly, lacklustre performance lets this cheerful camera down.
