Olympus E-510: Compare prices

By Philip Ryan on 14/09/2007

More Olympus reviews , RRP: AU$1499.00

The good:

  • Sensor-shift image stabilisation
  • Live View mode (LCD preview) operation

The bad:

  • Sluggish autofocus
  • Subpar exposure and white-balance performance
  • Some poor choices for default settings

The bottomline:

The Olympus E-510 has quirky exposure and white-balance issues, but its Live View and Image Stabilization modes may make some photographers give this SLR a chance.

      Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3

It has been about two years since Panasonic's last LX-series camera, the DMC-LX2, was launched. One of the most interesting things about that model was its 16:9 aspect ratio sensor and a good range of manual controls not usually found in digital compact cameras. We spent a day with the upcoming successor to the LX2, the DMC-LX3. Here's what we found out.
