The program translates what the user says and speaks the corresponding translation in another language. Uses Microsoft Speech Recognition and Text To Speech technologies,and three popular translation web services (google, babelfish and freetranslation) Includes support for local dictionaries easily extendable by the user (even while using another app, via a hotkey combination). Includes a memo of the previously recognized sentences and a pronunciation feedback option that repeats what the user says with a Text To Speech voice to polish pronunciation. Can be useful to learn other languages, to understand a talk by a foreign speaker, for online game playing with voice chat. The speech recognition engine can be trained for a specific user with a text transcription of a talk. Users have the chance to get the program for free adding new translations to the voice-translator.com web dictionaries. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
