Not everyone who has a 1080P tv has become an early adopter for HDDVD or BluRay format. For me, I rather wait to see who wins and for a price drop so I am not spending $600 on a hi-def player. Thats where the Samsung comes in. I am good with playing up-converted movies on my new HD tv and the fact it stretches its legs to full 1080p is a plus.

Pros: Great price, great functionality.

Cons: HDMI cable not included BUT thankfully I had one laying around.

Just purchased the 1080P7 HD player and played my standard DVDs back on a Samsung 46" LCD 1080p HDTV, and the quality was 100% better than my old DVD player. The colors were also much better, less grainy, and it is almost HD.

Pros: Great bargain at CC for $99.

Cons: The HDMI cable was Not included.
