More Panasonic reviews , RRP: AU$2199.00

The good:

  • Feature-packed
  • High quality recordings
  • Excellent Blu-ray playback
  • Advanced audio support
  • 500GB capacity

The bad:

  • Expensive
  • Burnt discs may not play on other devices
  • Not very intuitive

The bottomline:

The Panasonic DMR-BW500 is Australia's first Blu-ray recorder and while it isn't a bargain, it is one of the most feature complete PVRs on the market.
