Officially, the 3D version of Episode II will hit the big screen on 30 September 2013, while the 3D Episode III will debut on 11 October 2013.

Industrial Light & Magic supervised the 3D conversion of the remaining Star Wars prequels by Prime Focus, a company that also worked on the conversion for Episode I. Lucasfilm's plan to rerelease all of the Star Wars movies in 3D, which will probably earn hundreds of millions, considering Episode I in 3D netted a US domestic gross of US$43,456,382, according to IMDB.com.

The studios announced the news at the closing ceremony for the massive Star Wars Celebration VI fan gathering in Orlando, Florida, which also hosted a larger-than-life Rancor, among many other out-of-this-world things.
