Exposure: Christopher Chan
By Zennith Geisler on 09 October 2007

Photographer: Christopher Chan
Shooting subject: Landscape, Travel photography
Equipment: Canon EOS 30D, Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens, Canon EF-S 17-85mm lens, Canon EF 50mm lens, Tamron AF 18-250mm lens.
Christopher Chan's portfolio is the result of his two passions -- travel and photography. Originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Christopher has lived in Australia for the past 20 years and is currently based in Sydney. Working for an international IT company, his work has taken him to the four corners of the world, with his camera firmly in tow.
Despite his extensive travels, Christopher believes that Sydney is still one of the most photogenic cities in the world. No other city offers the mix of urban architectural as well as natural subjects in such close proximity with each other.
A sepia toned treatment of a strangely barren Circular Quay during the APEC 2007 weekend in September where the usual throngs were kept away by the special public holiday, transportation restrictions and tight security.

You have done it to photography as what Faridah Merican has done to the Malaysian performing arts scene ! Your shots with the narratives give so much depth and passion to this form of art. Not only is your family proud, as friends we are too as you are a Malaysian whose work will be seen throughout the four corners of the world.
