Cockatoo
The sulphur-crested cockatoo is a common sight around Sydney. However, finding a location where it is possible to get to eye-level with a nest hole and then to get a shot with the crest raised takes a little more effort.

It does appear to be a Regent Bowerbird as the caption text states. The caption, however, is titled "Regent Honeyeater", which is a different and rare bird. http://www.birdsaustralia.com.au/our-projects/regent-honeyeater.html

Nice picture but I doubt it is of a Regent Honeyeater. For starters, the Regent Honeyeater has a predominantly black head

Gerry Pearce - I have just been glued to my computer taking in all facets of your work - the colours, the poses, the light but mainly the subject characters themselves in their daily lives. I should imagine you have very sore knees just waiting for that 'time'. I just wanted to go and play with the dingos, give the fur seal an alarm clock before he became completely buried and take band aids to the herons. I just love your work - it is not pretentious and arty farty, appears to be light on the photoshop and is the subject matter I love the best - animals. Absolutely wonderful - sorry but I will try to pick up a few of your ideas as I learn more about my camera and continue my photography of any animal I can capture. Thank you.
