Popular photo sharing site Flickr has added a Facebook-style tagging application for users to label people in their photos.

Adding notes to your Flickr photos is something that has been a feature on the site for a while, but now you can tag people in your photos. Entering people in photos can be done in a dedicated box underneath existing tags, or you can click and drag an area on the image which will prompt you to label the area as a person or a note.

Once you have been tagged in a photo, updates will appear in the recent activity feed (a little like the Facebook newsfeed). Users can opt-out of being tagged in photos by changing their preferences.
