Nic Healey can usually be found on a couch muttering about aspect ratios and 7.1 channel sound - which is helpful given that he's the home entertainment guy at CNET.

Foxtel has introduced a new service into its ever-growing brand family, called Presto.

The service will cost AU$24.99 per month, with users gaining access to all seven of Foxtel's movie channels: Foxtel Movies Premiere, Foxtel Movies Comedy, Foxtel Movies Drama/Romance, Foxtel Movies Thriller/Crime, Foxtel Movies Action/Adventure, Foxtel Movies Family and Foxtel Movies Masterpiece.

Presto is set to be launched "later this year". The service will initially be available via PC and Mac, with Foxtel saying that it "will be available on compatible iOS and Android tablets to Presto subscribers shortly after".

No mention has been made of smart TV apps or console versions of Presto.
