Nintendo Game Boy Micro User reviews

By Randolph Ramsay on 19/12/2005

More Nintendo reviews , RRP: AU$150.00

The good:

  • Ultra portable, compact and light
  • Great LCD screen produces bright and vivid images
  • Long battery life
  • Changeable faceplates

The bad:

  • Only AU$30 cheaper than the Nintendo DS
  • Screen is small
  • Not for big hands
  • Only plays Game Boy Advance cartridges

The bottomline:

Nintendo has created another Game Boy winner, but perhaps its biggest flaw lies not in its hardware, but with its price. At AU$150, the Micro is only AU$30 cheaper than the Nintendo DS, which boasts more advanced hardware and can also play Game Boy Advance cartridges.

This seems interesting

I am definetley going to get this product. The only thing I don't like about it is that you might have to squint to see the screen (but thats something to expect). An upside is that its so small and I have been hearing that nintendo might be coming out some way to play MP3's on the micro, and that strikes interest in me.

this new system is going to be awsome

I just read about it and I am going to buy it right when it comes out.But I still want to know how much it is going to cost. It might be my favorite hand held system.

I like the new GBM

i have the original gameboy advence and i would like to upgrade from my old system to the sleek Micro. I don't see a problem with the screen because you have it so close to you when you play it and the fact that Nintendo might have some kind of MP3 cababilities for it are cool. I have a DS and love that so this will be an awesome addition to show my friends. It's so small that I will probably be playing it in math class when my teacher is not looking!

very cool

its small, plays games, can take every where, and it just might play mp3. Only a complete idiot would complain about its size

How much will this thing be?

If this thing is more than $100 theres no point even bringing the gb micro out.No one is gonna wanna pay more then $100 for a thing that plays the same games as the gameboy advanced and gameboy advanced sp which are only $60-$80.I still think the gameboy micro is cool.Im gonna have one the first day it comes out if its foor a reasonable price.I have a gba sp so theres no point for me to get one but the gameboy micro looks much cooler and nicer.I cant wait to get my hands on the gameboy micro!
