With the manufacturing date of 2007-06-29 this looks like it will have the old 90nm chip set. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, old 90nm CPU and still suffer RROD (my Elite did it within 15 minutes!)

My Elite is working fine, been playing Bioshock, I the bigger Hard Drive and the HDMI makes thing easyer but it is just as noiser as the old Xbox 360.

I have heard of several people now who have purchased this and they have died within 15 minutes of using them. Considering that the fix appears to be a better quality X-clamp over the GPU (there is a video on the net on how to replace it), I find it amazing that Microsoft would send out units that were not properly tested given the heat they have received over past mistakes. I for one will not touch it until I know for sure its the latest chipset. C'mon Microsoft.... stop treating your customers like they are the ones who can wear the cost of Quality Assurance that YOU should have done in the first place!

Well I waited and waited... was refused on several occasions from being able to see the serial number on the back of the unit because it meant opening the box and when I finally convinced someone to open it for me I was grateful to see a manufacturing date of Aug 2007. I have been hitting it hard since then without a single problem :)

The xbox 360 is great because it is not too expensive yet it has good graphics and many games to choose from. Even though my 360 'crashed' and had to be sent back for repairs, the operators were very apologetic and my 360 came back within a few days and works perfectly. I couldn't be happier!!
