Think you're a well-travelled person? Test your ability to recognise the rest of the world with this web-based game.

If you were a bit of a whiz kid in geography class back at school, then the GeoGuessr game might be your new favourite time waster. For each guess, you get a score based on how close your guess was — the farther away, the worse the score.

It's not quite Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? — in fact, it's a little alarming to discover how much parts of Africa look like outback Australia, and how many Canadian cities might well be in Europe — but it is addictive and fun.
