Hands-on: Sony Ericsson Xperia X1
By Damian Koh and Joseph Hanlon on 03 April 2008
Sony Ericsson have been very protective of the Xperia X1. At the recent trade shows the X1 has either been behind glass or in the tight grip of a Sony Ericsson employee.
Our colleagues at CNET Asia have "pulled some strings" (read: made Sony Ericsson an offer they could not refuse) to score hands-on photos of the X1 with the Windows Mobile interface on screen for the first time, rather than the impressive looking "Xperia panels" display.
Open for business
The Xperia X1 open, QWERTY keypad exposed and ready for business.

I purchased an Iphone about a month ago and recently placed the iphone oa drawer and purchased an experia X1 The iphone is very smart looking with easy email setup and very good speed but its a lemon or the user as to be a lemon to love it. No user controll whatsoeverYou got to use the devise as Apple wanted no freedom to pick and choose software. several time I have had to reload all my work eamil because the sync software is more interested in selling goodies that do the basic things of sybcronising. I purchased the experia simply because telstra as usual doesn't have an omnia i900 with nextG available typical of our telstra selling third rate mobiles at exorbitant prices to. I will follow up with a quick comment about the experia
