Hands-on with the new Facebook home page

As promised, Facebook delivers a new Twitter-like home page design.

The 'new' News Feed seems to be a prettier but less comprehensive version of the 'old' Live Feed function.
Also, times and dates now seem to be absent from The Wall - I can't see why this is a step forward.
*sigh*
A cosmetic improvement maybe but, with the exception of being able to filter the News Feed by Network (but oddly not by Status Update), this seems very much a step backwards.
