HD should be wired: Intel

Current wireless networking standards aren't fit for streaming high-definition (HD) content between a media centre PC and multiple extender devices, according to Intel and Microsoft.

I'll bet that 802.11n will be fine for HD as long as an efficient codec is used and the environment is right. One of the biggest clues is apple's wireless yet to be named iTV. Given the outputs present, it is clearly meant for HD video in the future (despite current iTunes downloads only supporting 640x480 progressive). As this story suggests you can almost manage it now using g. Streaming video is going to be the killer app driving 11n adoption and I hope we will see it built into TVs in a few years time.
