Ron Perlman has donned the Hellboy mantle once more — to grant the wish of a six-year-old boy with leukaemia.

Young Hellboy fan Zachary had one wish: to meet his hero. Well, two — in the way of six-year-olds everywhere, he wanted to become him, too.

Cue Spectral Motion, the effects studio responsible for the Hellboy makeup — and Hellboy himself, Ron Perlman. After sitting through the make-up procedure, Perlman joined Zachary for a day of hanging out, demon style.

Spectral Motion wrote on its Facebook page:

Ron loved the idea, and donned the make-up once more (with the assistance of Lufeng Qu and Eden Elizalde) and also ordered a Hellboy-sized meal of burgers, shakes and fries for Zachary and his family and the entire Spectral crew to enjoy.

After chilling with his hero, Zachary got to live his ultimate dream.

All together now: Awwwww.
