While Australians have to wait a few more weeks, it's iPhone 4 launch day, and unfortunately people are already having problems.

The issue seems to be with the metal rim — put your hands on it and the calls drop out. While Apple are pushing their "Bumpers", our colleagues at CNET UK have come up with their own ingenious fix. Gaffa tape!

Stylish yet functional, the home-made adapter even includes a handy cardboard loop to hook your fingers into. No more reception problems. And no more pesky camera.

CNET UK will even sell you a handy "iPhone 4 super-reception carry stick" if you send them your banking details. Where do we sign up??

Only if Steve jobs came up with this idea and told his Apple fanboys that this is magical and wonderful and so easy, everyone would be getting one.
