HP Pavilion DV7-1002TX Entertainment Notebook PC
By Craig Simms on 04 September 2008
HP's 17-inch DV7 sports a mesh imprint, a stylish new entry into the Centrino 2 market, although the low resolution screen is a concern.

- Good: Really fast, amazing sepcs
- Bad: Comes with Vista, downgrading and finding drivers is hard. Cheaply made. HP cutomer service sucks
Really fast computer, Vista manages to ruin it. Plastic around the screen is not really hugging the screen so there are ugly gaps between plastic and screen. Good price for specs considering its a laptop. Got 700$ off on sale +cash back =).

- Good: going cheap
- Bad: not HD
Coupled with a fast external usb drive, this thing is awesome as a primary software development box hosting VPCs up to the wazoo. The GFX aren't as good as some of the dv6 models, but it's still a brilliant buy - picked it up for 1700$ at harvey normans.

Its an insane laptop.whats up with this thing about having low res. The res is 1440x900.Thats good for 17 inch screen. I guess a 19inch monitor with 1440x900 is crap aswell

- Good: Big screen, great RAM, decent touchpad, great keyboard, lightweight.
- Bad: Not worth the cost, pretty low resolution for the screen size, nothing too amazing for about 25 hundred dollars.
A bit above average laptop, nothing amazing.
