HTC Touch Pro

By Joseph Hanlon on 30 September 2008

Compared to the Diamond, the Touch Pro is faster but still slow compared with other Windows Mobile phones. We love TouchFlo 3D and feel the Pro is a decent step forward.

Nice phone has loads of features

    • Good: Excellent phone emails, touch screen, gps, I downloaded google maps and works like a charm. Skype is great to speak with friends / family in wifi range works on WPA-PSK setup fine.

    • Bad: The touch screen could be faster/smother. else fine.

      NOTE:
If any one having issues with send/receive emails from Gmail account disappearing then take a look at you settings and make sure it is setup in POP3 mode and not IMAP. As IMAP syncs the folders in next send/receive and if you have already downloaded the emails in your PC as I do then it deletes them from you Touch Pro phone. So set it up in POP3 mode and not IMAP as it defaults to this in auto setup.

The tv out is what sets this phone above the rest. Touch pro has every feature possible and works great. Much better than that other try hard phone with the fruit on it.

    • Good: Exhaustive feature list with plenty of memory.
    • Bad: I will need to upgrade to the touch hd because I love big screens.

    Hi there,

I just bought a HTC touch Pro from 3, they do NOT have Window Live messenger installed on this phone like they do for LG shine, Nokia N95...

How do I get Live messenger on this phone, what do I download?

    Thanks

IT IS THE BEST PHONE EVERRR!!!
I previously had the Palm Treo, and the HTC Touch Pro has the same programs etc in it. But a sexier, classier phone with the added keyboard. I love it!!
Get it @ Three Stores. Three have the coolest cap plans anyway!

    • Good: Functions, Keyboard, Touchscreen, GET IT NOW! :P
    • Bad: Quite heavy;
      Lags a lil bit
but besides that, its still the best =)

The HTC Touch Pro is just what I want except it doesnt have a dual sim card. Does anyone know if a dual sim card version is on its way?

Bought a Touch Pro (UK version) off Ebay (i live in australia). Definitely worth the money. Worth upgrading my old phone and pda into a beautiful and well crafted phone

    • Good: Mostly responsive
Wonderful to look at - definitely an eye catcher
      Decent battery life
      Great screen
      Expandable memory
    • Bad: Thicker than the diamond - but I think its worth having the keyboard for smses
Becomes slow to respond if you do too many commands quickly on it (like multiple deleting)
Very quiet regular speaker for phone calls - speakerphone has to be used if there is any significant ambient noise.
      Wish it could be cheaper!
