Here at CNET Australia we want the information in the reviews to answer all the questions you have about a particular device. So instead of posting our thoughts and then having you ask us questions after the fact, we thought we'd let you ask them while we have the product still whizzing through the CNET test labs.

This week we have Nokia's upcoming smartphone, the N900. People familiar to Nokia handsets and its Symbian operating systems will be surprised to find the Finns deviating from the traditional game plan. The N900 isn't a Symbian-based device, instead it runs on Maemo 5, an open-source system developed by Nokia based on Linux. Using this system comes with a variety of advantages, but it also means having to learn a new way of doing things, and from our experiences so far there is quite a bit to discover.

We'll do our best to guide you through using Maemo and we'll describe the features and performance as we usually do in a full product review, but post any questions you have about the N900 in the comments below and we'll make sure they get answered when the full review is published in the coming days.

Update: The full review for the N900 is live now. Read to the end to find the answers to the questions posted.

Kind of a stupid question I know,

but what's the default pass code? I don't remember changing it and the usual 0000 doesn't seem to work D:
Also how do I bluetooth music? I can do pics fine but can't seem to send music - or I don't know how >.>

I came across this comment on wikipedia re the maemo operating system

"The Nokia N900 will be the last mobile communication device running the Maemo 5 operating system, which is in its final version. The N900 will continue to be supported with updates when necessary."

I was thinking of getting the n900 until I saw this.

I have the N900 posted a reply

I have had the N900 since June. The only problem that I can find with it is that there are very few apps for it. Nearly everything that Nokia is making now does not apply to this phone. You cannot find anything from most game sites. However. There are hundreds of apps made by users of the Maemo operating system on the App Manager. It is a very good phone. I would put it up there with the iPhone, but it is not supported by Nokia

This phone is awesome... the batteries for ME, last for over 30 hours easy on average. The quality is awesome, its almost HD quality. And im not sure about other phones but you can overclock this so it reaches its maximum capabilities... It's a cheap, well-high tech phone. So anyone that doesn't love this. Screw you...

Is the N900 phone the same as what you would get it if you bought it in Canada? There's N900s on-line for CND$342. Its unlocked.....
