Internet Explorer 7
By Robert Vamosi on 19 October 2006
IE 7 was Microsoft's one chance to leapfrog ahead of the competition, but the company has only barely caught sight of the current front-runners. For more features and greater security, switch to Mozilla Firefox.

- Bad: Useless.

I have no problems! Works GREAT!! As with any other software it must be installed correctly and on a machine that can handle the new stuff. One must also stayaway from unnecessary "add-ons" as is usually the main problem with any browser locking up or other trouble.
- Good: Sleek new look, faster response, better security.
- Bad: Hard to find text menus.

Have changed my rating up. Had problem with locking up when launched due to add ons. Click on tools, Manage Add Ons, and disabled 2 Yahoo add-ons: Yahoo companion and Yahoo companion BHO. It then lauched correctly.
- Good: Seems better than 6.0.

After upgrade, would lock up after attempted launch. Right clicked on icon and selected launch without 'add-ons' which it did sucessfully. So, problem with the 'add -ons', have figured out which one yet.
- Good: Upgrade went fine.
- Bad: Usage a problem, will probably stick with Firefox for most of my web usage.

After all bad reviews I expected the worst. At least on my machine Ie7 runs solid..P4 3Ghz no crashes..After a few days on it I am starting to love it..not going back.
- Good: sleek interface, google search integrated, more security features, fast starting and loading of pages (to my surprise) have not crashed yet.
- Bad: fuzzy fonts on my LCD (turned off cleatype)

IE7...the Ford Pinto of the browser world!
Looks great when installing but crashes and burns when put on the road.
I also find it hard to believe that some people like the redesign and facelift of the menubars. REALLY?! To me it's like getting a newly redesigned car with the steering wheel in the back seat, the Accelerator and brake pedal in the front passenger side, and the radio where the front drivers side used to be. Looks and feels like a radical design but highly impractical for everday use.
Oh sure...It's got some great new features: Anti-phishing, tab browsing, RSS reader...but what's the use if you can't get it out of the garage and onto the super highway! It only does one thing well...CRASH and BURN. This product should have been recalled, scrapped and erased of the face of the earth, along with the engineers who came up with it.- Good: - An UNINSTALL option.
- That MS hasn't bought out Firefox (www.msfirefox.com) - Bad: - That it will be an integral part of Vista... at which point I will say, "Hasta la Vista!"
- This website's user rating wizard doesn't go into the negative numbers. Say..-10 below freezing.
- Good: - An UNINSTALL option.

It was a farce. Installed it on my girlfriends computer and it simply locks it up taking 100% CPU usage perminently.
- Good: Its free
- Bad: So is the flu
