Linksys EA6500
There is no denying how expensive the Linksys EA6500 is, but with performance like this, it's a price tag that is easy to justify.
-
WD My Net N750
With a wealth of features, an excellent user experience and very respectable performance, the low price is a pleasant surprise.
-
Netgear D6300
Though pricey, if you demand next-generation networking technology today with a built-in ADSL2+ modem, the D6300 is a capable option. 2

Billion BiPAC 7800NXL
Considering it also includes an ADSL2+ modem, Billion has delivered an impressive range of features at an even more impressive price point. But it's for experts only.

D-Link DIR-865L Wireless AC 1750 Dual Band Cloud Router
This router from D-Link makes a decent investment thanks to its cloud-based features, support for 802.11ac and good performance on the 5Ghz band.

Belkin AC 1200 DB Wi-Fi Dual-Band AC+ Gigabit Router
Though it offers decent performance, the Belkin AC 1200 holds no greater appeal over any existing solid N600 or N900 routers on the market right now.

Asus RT-N66U
While the RT-N66U may not have had the fastest 2.4GHz signal at close quarters, it certainly has the best range of any 802.11n router we've tested. Add to this the easy-to-use interface, leagues of options and the fact that it simply works — we can't help but recommend this.

Western Digital My Net N900 Central
Western Digital is off to a good start with its routers; it has a well-designed, usable interface, attractive aesthetics and a decent feature set. The 2.4GHz performance needs improvement, though, and the one-year warranty and non-user-serviceable hard drive hurts. 2

Netgear R6300
The R6300 is quite a beast of a router, and it certainly gives a promise of things to come. While we score it highly, we'd hold off on purchasing anything 802.11ac until client chips are more widespread — by then, there'll likely be something even better around. 1

Cisco Linksys EA4500
We can see where Cisco was going with Connect Cloud, but there are simply too many problems with its execution to recommend. We'd advise installing the classic interface as soon as possible, or opting for another brand.
