Buffalo CloudStation Pro Duo (2TB)
Those looking for more power and flexibility should stick with standard NAS, but, for everyone else, Buffalo's CloudStation offers what pretty much every PogoPlug device does: a simple, worry-free storage facility. 1

Western Digital MyBook Live Duo
Western Digital's MyBook Live Duo is a good entry point into the world of NAS. The lack of active cooling is a concern, though — make sure that it's in a position where it can vent its heat easily. 2

QNAP TS-879 Pro
QNAP's NAS products are still excellent and incredibly flexible devices. If you're in the market for an eight-bay NAS, then put this one on your list.

Synology DS2411+
While the DS2411+ could do with a little aesthetic tweaking hardware-wise, Synology maintains its reputation in delivering an excellent product, particularly on the software side.

QNAP TS-559 Pro
While we have concerns about how the Atom processor will hold up in a high throughput or large multi-user environment, the QNAP TS-559 Pro is incredibly featured and cements QNAP's lead as the NAS manufacturer du jour.

Apple Time Capsule (2TB, Late 2009)
The Apple Time Capsule is a convenient and simple wireless router and NAS server combo for your home. Unfortunately, you can find better deals on devices that offer greater storage space and many more features for the price. 1
