How is having a porn conversation or video call on an iphone any different to having a similar conversation on a mac computer connected to the internet?

I don't think there is anything Apple can do to fight porn on the iPhone without breaking the law.
While they can control the Apps people sell, download and use, I think privacy provisions in telecommunications law and practise will block them from controlling the content.
I think many people are confusing the issues: their is a clear difference between the Application software and the data content fed through it. I can abide (barely) by Apple's not letting me have, say, a porn application on my phone although I think they are invading on my rights; but they have no right to tell me that I cannot have an explicit telephone conversation with another consenting adult. That is a blatant invasion of privacy, and would effectively give them power to censor my mail, telephone, internet and other communication.
Apple's first challenger to an attempt to control this content will be fought by the telecommunications companies, porn traffic has got to be a big money spinner for them, and they won't forgo the revenue easily. -

You're probably right but I'm sure that it will be called an "update to fix signal loss issues".

Lol funny stuff. Gonna be interesting to see how Apple handles this or even attempts to handle this situation.
